Wk 9 — art activity — student choice part 2

My original vision was much better, I wanted to use paints but wasn’t able to get any. I wanted to make it super colorful, bright, and happy.

My project differed from my original vision by using crayon. The medium made a huge difference and gave it a different vibe.

I think my project is a success because it was another attempt at a piece of art! Even though it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to, and I’m not exactly proud of it, I had a great time creating this work and I got to learn new techniques with using crayon!

Yes definitely got weaker due to compromises. I had to compromise in terms of the medium I used and this hugely affected the outcome of my work. If i had done it in paints it would be much more similar to my original vision and I probably would have liked it a lot better.

I was trying to achieve sending an emotion through my art. I wanted the viewer to feel happiness as they looked at it. I don’t think I necessarily accomplished that, but after attempting it once I know what to do differently next time.

Next time I would use way brighter colors and make it a little busier. I would also draw the smile differently. I would also use a different medium, it is very challenging to make crayon look nice.
